Award-winning imagist Michael Lawrence originally hails from Buffalo, NY. His multi-platform work seeks to transcend advertising buzzwords like authenticity, kinetic, and presence. Thus it seemed fitting to design and build him a portfolio that was devoid of overstatement and glamour, with a clean design that put the work first. As well as showcasing both imagery and video, the site also acts as a shop for his prints and books.

The website embraces minimalism to keep the focus on Michael’s work and his no-nonsense approach. Subtle GSAP animations guide users through his extensive portfolio, creating a seamless experience while highlighting his work without distraction.
Colourful case studies
A flexible system that allowed Michael to assign a unique colour to each case study — adding a layer of personalisation that visually reflected the essence of each project. Whether bold, minimal, or playful, the chosen colour became a subtle storytelling tool, helping Michael express the tone and personality of his work at a glance.
Online shop
An online shop built using Snipcart, enables Michael to sell books and prints. The e-commerce integration subtly blends into the portfolio design, maintaining the focus on his work first and foremost.
